Organ News:

At the Annual Meeting on Jan. 27th, it was voted to purchase a new Allen Organ for $45,200. This organ will have many new features which will bring us musical joy for the next fifty years. The organ has arrived and Lisa is learning about the various features!  The generosity of people has been amazing. Our updated donations and pledges total $40,611 toward the organ fund, some in memory of loved ones, and other donations just for the love of music.   If you or someone you know would like to honor the memory of someone you love by making a gift toward the new organ, please contact either George Fowler, or Mary Jane Wirsing. The organ will be dedicated on Sunday, July 18th at 7 p.m., with a reception following.

Choir:

The Choir is open to anyone who enjoys singing.  The choir sings Sundays from mid September to mid June. 

Practice is 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

 

Handbell Choir: "A Ring and a Prayer"

The handbell choir plays monthly in church throughout the year.  They also perform at "Spring Ring", a gathering of handbell choirs from all over Vermont. This year's Spring Ring will be May 1, 2010, at Essex Alliance Church.

We have a few openings for the fall. If you are interested, please contact Mary Jane.

We have recently purchased a third octave of hand chimes, from donations given in memory of long time choir member Suzanne Lahue, who died in June 2007.

Practice is 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
