The theme for this year’s meeting is Changing Lives: Fearless Disciples in Action. When we encounter the Living God our lives are changed. Like the disciples on that Pentecost Sunday long ago, the Holy Spirit blows through us changing fear to courage and instilling us with a desire to share Good News in word and deed.
To help us explore our theme, we are pleased that the Revs. Matt and Liz Boulton will join us as our keynote speaker and worship leader respectively. Both Matt and Liz are accomplished speakers, preachers and musicians who share a passion for transformative worship that involves people of all ages. They will be bringing along their band, Butterflyfish, to further enhance our gathering.
As in recent years, worship will be at the center of all we do. An array of workshops will be offered for learning, sharing and growing as disciples. We will celebrate a decade of work by the Uprooting Racism Task Force and listen in on a dialogue concerning racism by Edie Rasell and Ervin Milton of the Justice and Witness Ministries of the UCC. There will, of course, be ample opportunity to conduct necessary Conference business. |
